Raku is a low-fire process that creates a completely unique object wide-variety of colors and iridescence on ceramics. *Raku-firing does not produce food safe objects* but it does produce fun! It is a process that takes us to the outdoors once a month on Sunday mornings.
To fully participate, please come with 2-3 bisqued works. We have the raku glaze here. If you need to create bisqueware, we can help you do that during open studio ($20) or one of the pottery classes ($30) – bisque firing is included in both options!
Raku’d works will be available to take home same-day; please wear pants and closed-toed shoes if you want to be by the fire.
Once a month on Sunday, 10am-1pm.
2017 Dates: July 23, August 20, September 17, October 22, and November 12.
RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, FB message or calling 757-967-9333.
Next $10 for members; $25 for non-members. Bring 2-3 pieces - if you want to fire more work, let us know!
